This is the smaller version of our hobby I suppose. Mini Pro-touring.. When I'm not feeling well this is the hobby I partake in. :lol:

The wheelbase is off on the Tamiya TT01 chassis with the body but this is the best I could do. Overall pretty happy with the results, even though its a 1968... I'll paint a 1969 Camaro shell eventually when they are released later this year. The Chassis is AWD so I plan to add a stupid fast brushless setup to it.

The Body is from HPI Racing. They also have a challenger, corvette, mustang, and charger on the way.

You will need a 190mm chassis to get the bodies to work right. Post here if you're interested and I'd be glad to help some of you build scale versions of your own cars. Yes they are toys, but the gas is cheaper and so are the parts!

Those 'Cudas look pretty bad ass as well.

The easiest and cheapest option is to buy a ready to run chassis with all the radio equipment and everything good to go. About $190 shipped.

The HPI E10 makes a great, cheaper starting platform.

Even includes batteries and charger. I much prefer to build my own, as its the best part for me.

Then you can just buy the body you want, paint it like your own car etc.

They Run about $350 for just the chassis. Much more suited for actual racing than parking lot fun. Team associated makes a TC5 as well. Equally expensive.

I don't race, I just wanted to build a scale version of my own car, its great therapy when I'm not feeling well.

These cars are now faster than gas RC cars ever were, quieter, cleaner with simple brushless motor upgrades.

That's very cool! I just happen to have both a '68 Camaro....and a HPI RS4 all wheel drive Nitro car....with a Dodge Ram body on it at the moment....came with the Viper body.

These cars can be a ton of fun for not too much out of pocket....I really would like to get a stadium truck for when I go camping...my parking lot racer is a little limiting!

They sure are, and especially fun to build/repair/wrench on. You should try a crawler sometime on some steep or rocky terrain. Amazing fun. My dog LOVES mine. Chases it around the yard. (I live on a steep incline. I have this sucker on the way right now.

Where are you getting the Gmade crawler from and what is the cost?

Time to sell my HPI Savage and get something more interesting!

I've got a buddy that has a real rock racer/crawler that looks alot like that one out in CO. Nothing scares that bejeezus out of you like doing 60mph over a half mile of 3-4' whoops in a truck. I probably am an inch shorter from continually tightening my harness. LOL!

That R/C crawler is right up my alley since I sold my Rubicon. :thumbsup:

Man this is my other many weaknesses. I have almost a dozen of these things. I have a trans am series camaro on an AWD drive HPI chassis also. I have 5 1/8th scale off road cars, 2 dirt oval cars, 4 short course trucks. I enjoy taking the gas cars and converting them to electric. My 1/8 scale buggy can pull a wheelie down the back stretch and run for 30 minutes straight. Then I bought 3 go karts and now they just sit. :rolleyes:

Real crawlers are amazing and fun, but break a lot, and are scary. RC ones are relaxing, and its fun to tweak/mod them to perform better.
