You know, Wayne Due has a couple setups in that price range or less that work very well. One uses Morrison a-arms, rack, etc. for about $4500 with Wilwood brakes, $4K or so without brakes. He also has a new one that's a replacement for the stock 67-69 stock subframe; uses stock or aftermarket a-arms, DSE coil overs, steering rack, and allows 275's and 10" wheels up front. This one is ideal for a guy who's already got money invested in DSE or Hotchkis a-arms, etc. but would like to run big wheels/tires up front and get a steering rack at the same time. He sells that frame with new rack for about $1700. Then you'd need a-arms and coil-overs (uses the same ones that DSE uses).

Nea, been there, done that, didn't like it, mustang 2 crap, to flexable. Waynes stuff is killer, and a nice guy too. Much more then can be said about Martz.

Brian, go straight to the source and ask Wayne. His phone number is 360-657-4810. Be sure to tell him we sent you.

I have a Wayne Due subframe waiting to go in my car. It's a REALLY nice piece.

HAHA god i really need to unplug my intenet connection or become better at not rationalizing...

Inner monologue:
"i need a $1k rack for the ls1, and that sub is only abt 2500 with coilovers....plus could sell the stocker for a bunch, ahh damn theres another month of work!!!"

i think ill have to give him a ring...

I was talking to Wayne earlier this year about making direct replacement stock subs and at that time he did not have time to mess with it since he was working on other projects. I was going to do the leg work to get them going but never got around to it. I am glad he finally got to it because it is a great idea.

He has it available guys, but it's not on his site yet. We're ordering two of them this week through Marquez Design.
