AME Tri 4-bar vs. 3-link

Now that the magazine is out and they posted this on the Super Chevy site we can now post it here. We tested Matt's Camaro showing the performance differences between a 3-link and tri 4-bar. What was really exciting about the test was that we pulled 1g on the skidpad using 275 front and 295 rear BFG KDW that have a 300 wear rating.

That is a great test! And congratulations on the superb number!

Have you guys done any 1/4 mile comparisons?

What about street driving comparisons?

Does 1 stand out over the other in these scenarios?

We didn't do 1/4 mile tests as ElToro isn't really set up to do that and were more interested in the skidpad and slalom testing. Matt (Silver69Camaro) is the owner of the car and has put a lot of miles on both suspensions whild driving it on the street so he should be able to chime in on that.

I know one of his biggest complaints with the 3-link was the noise the spherical rod ends transmitted into the cabin of the car. We have sourced a new rod end that should cure this issue though......

Awesome video and comparison. It goes back to what I've been saying since El Toro. The driver matters more than ANYTHING else. If you have reasonably compliant chassis.

Awesome comparison! I guess its up to what you prefer. But pulling 1G makes it all worth it. It would be interesting to see a comparison between stock leafsprings to a performance leaf spring kit and to a 3 to 4 link kit.

Awesome real world back to back testing! I kne we made the right decision.

That'd have to include a ride-quality test as well. Link type suspensions really shine in that area.
