ATS Road Race Pan oil lines

Anybody with the ATS LSX pan know which oil line is the return for the remote filter? I looked on the ATS site but don't see anything. I honestly have no clue if it matters or not but I am close to turning the key after I put fluids in and don't want to take a chance.

Thanks,

It does matter especially if you have a oil filter that has a check valve. The ATS instructions at one time were wrong so make sure you get it right.

The front line is the engine out line, and the rear line with the 1/8" NPT fitting is the return into the engine. By looking at the pressure fitting you might think that was the out line, but it is not.

As Charley says, it does matter, especially if you have an anti-drainback filter.................. :faint:

Thanks Guy's. I hope I got the later version but I don't know. I don't recall getting any instructions with pan.

That is what we thought. Glad I asked. I am using the CV products and HP6 filter so I don't have a check valve.

Thanks Again

Tom,

did yours come with fittings welded to the pan? any chance I could get a pic of the top of the pan without a gasket?

Moose,

I looked all through my photos and I have no pics. Sorry. The fittings did come welded though.

I've had a couple of their pans. The one I have now is the first one I got and it is not welded inside the pan where the tubing comes through the pan rail, only welded on the outside. The later one I had was welded inside and outside, plus had a brace outside to help support the rear tube/fitting.
