Project Chicken Getter
Well we have been working on this truck for a while now(way too long). You will understand the name once you see a pic of the truck.
1949 F1 from Florida, came to us with a small block ford and tranny, 9" combo, installed very poorly. Drive angle was off so bad. By no means is this a pro touring truck. Front suspension. Wilwood Pro Spindle Mustang II tubular arms(with balljoint angle changed) Slam bags Custom brake brackets to fit the GM metric calipers. Woodward steering rack. QA1 shocks Rear suspension. 9" rear end braced Chris Alston 4 bar(with wishbone) Rear lift bars Slam bags Fords rear disc kit QA1 shocks Wheels and tires. 18x8 and 18x10 Boyd Junkyard Dogs Nitto tires Drivetrain. 1996 LT1/4L60E Interior. Vintage Air JVC head unit CDT speakers Air Managment. Ride Pro e2 12 Gal tank in bed 3 gal tank under cab 2 Vair 400's under bed. This is when we first looked at the truck. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._001.sized.jpg Check out the drive angle http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._003.sized.jpg http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._004.sized.jpg |
Bare frame ready for blaster and paint.

Then the truck was at the local indoor world of wheels(had a few long and late nights before the show, i was bolting the hood on when it was being loaded on the trailer) http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._012.sized.jpg Owner had no idea the truck was in the show. He lives out of town and we knew he was coming in for the show. Very shocked when he seen it. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._012.sized.jpg Then we felt very honored when we got asked to have the truck at Goodyguys Nashville in the Optima Booth. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._004.sized.jpg http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._021.sized.jpg The truck will be rolling around NSRA Nats in a few weeks. On the side of the door it says Farmers Market Poultry Los Angeles Ca. The owners father in law is the owner of the business.( he just passed away last week) |
love the finish on the exterior with the pinstriping and logo

Nice!!!! Truck looks sweet!
I love the patina, shop/work truck look. If I were just starting on my truck it would definitely get that type of treatment. |

That looks awesome! I love a bagged F-Truck, especially earlier ones. Do you have any more rear suspension pics? I like the rearward facing arms for the bags. Some more pics would be great.

The ride with the lift bars is super nice. I have some very early build photos. I want to get the truck on the lift and get some good under shots. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._003.sized.jpg http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._002.sized.jpg Thats how the lift bars mount. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._003.sized.jpg http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._001.sized.jpg Rear mount, all boxed. http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._003.sized.jpghttp://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._004.sized.jpg http://s-seriesforum.com/albums/albu..._001.sized.jpg I think i have more if you want to look at them. |
