Ironworks Test Car Chassis for Tri-5 frame.

Well I have been gathering parts to build a chassis and a test car to show what the car is capable of. We have been finalizing and changing some details to make it even better. We modifed the rear crossmember to lay flat with the chassis and make it clear the difference in the convertible. We have added a few more features to make assembly easier and to make the chassis even stronger. The design is currently be stressed test by some "rocket scientist" guys, to see any further weakness's. I have since sold all of the initial chassis's I had cut as prototypes. Once this testing is done we will cut out some more to be sold.

Here is picture of JIG Fixture that we designed to help it in mounting the Rick's fuel tank into our chassis.

So on to the car, Well obviouly we will be using a 55-57 chevy. Enter the 4600 dollar craigslist wonder car. "OLD BLUE" - For now. With sweet Donkey Kong wheels..... YEAH BOYEE

Now time for the leftovers. I wanted to build a Big Procharged Ls Engine a few years ago with dual throttle bodies and such in a 67 Chevelle. Well that Project kinda fell by the way side. So Enter my extra parts shelf in the back.
1 - LSX block with Lunati Crank and rods
1 - All Pro 6 bolt heads that flow almost 400 CFM
1 - Procharger F-1 with bracket system
1- 4L80 trans that was built for Corvette suspension
1- FAST EFI and Trans controller system

Yeah pretty nice junk self.

So here is what the parts look like mocked up.

I had the trans converted from Rear mounted custom to just a standard 4L80 trans. Just took the old parts out of the case and put them in a new case.

I want this car to run hard and make LOTS of bottom end power. I plan to paint it Flat black and use lots of light weight drag race parts and Anvil has expessed interest in doing some carbon parts for me. I'm trying to decide between some Fikse wheels or the Lemans wheels from Billet specialties. I'm waiting on a sketch from Sean Smith currently. I want it Black low and fast.

Now after working with Kurt Urban on a few things about this engine or maybe I should say wasting his time. He has convinced me that maybe I should look at a Magnuson blower for this application for the down low brutal torque. HMMM

We are also working to get the Quick ratio Woodward rack mounted on the car and I'm looking at using some adjustable bump steer tie rods I found on line. They seem really nice. I hope to have pics of that stuff soon. Enjoy

If you put your name backwards then when someone is under the car they will be able to read it, or maybe that is just for yours...

But if it is forward people will ask what it says when it is just a roller. When the body is install it is so buried you would be hard pressed to read it if it was written in NEON.

SKROWNORI. I can't even pronouce it.

It's pronounced 'Hack'. You know. Because you suck at fabrication and all that.

Well Sir you are correct, but if you look at definition #2 you will find it corresponds to this picture of these tail lights.

HACK -

And on that very note we will start back on your car right this very second....:D

What now???? You want more..... Pick on someone your own size....:D :D

Don't you touch that tail panel. If you do it will leave a scar. I just can't wait until you mount my HRE wheels to that chassis table- you know. Because my car has been welded to it for 2 years. I just figured it was part of the chassis at this point. Is that roll up door where you keep your Lear jet?

Lear JETs..... Plural.

At least the weight of the chassis table is low. The funny thing is it is probably lighter with the table welded to it, then when the car came in as a roller.....HEHE

That pro charger, alternator and bracket system looks very familiar :unibrow:
