Quick 1967 Chevelle update
Its been a while since I have posted anything but I figured my time was better spent in the garage working on the car rather than on the computer. so here is the update;
Frame is blasted, boxed, braced, facory welds cleaned and repaired where needed, gussets added, and tranny x-member built(but might redo). Engine, LS1 w/ 4L60E has been installed into frame. Body, has been mineral blasted and primed. Almost all of the rust work has been completed and should be done in by the weekend. Firewall has been filled and smoothed as far as I can go right now with out more parts, still have a little of body work to finish but I think its coming along pretty fast since im no body guy and learning as I go. Next step will be to get the suspension under it. Ill get some updated pics up soon. |

New update
Okay, it's been a while. Here's what's new; front suspension is on thanks to Mark @ SCC. I went with the complete Steet comp AFX package w/ SPC lower arms. Parts look awesome. Fire wall is redone. Decide to cut out all precious work and start with nice flat sheet metal. Cut and reworked passenger side cowling to raise the Vintage Air bow up and out of the way. Again another had it done and mounted but was not happy with it. Moved wiper motor into fender well. I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. Or if your local it will be at Nor-cal Nicks shop the weekend. Check out his post.

I forgot...
Also ordered my wheels, Billet Specialties "Draft" 19x8 & 20x10's. Three weeks, can't wait.

Subscribed... this one's gonna be killer.
What are the specs on the LS1? |
That's gonna be a sweet ride, nice choice in wheels. I was seriously considering the Draft's when I was choosing wheels.

Thanks guys

Keep up the good work. I saw a lot of that rust on my '66 Malibu.
