Getting to SEMA

What are the steps to getting a car to SEMA, a few of our sponsors would like to have one of our projects at SEMA but are unsure themselves how to do it.

Is it different depending if they are in their booth or just outside around the buildings?

Thanks

Booth space and outdoor space are different. The booth needs to be a certain size before you can even think about getting a car in there.
Outside space is just a fee that they would have to pay.
If they want the car there, they should be contacting the SEMA rep for the price and the requirements.

The outside space is available to exhibitors. Joe Q Public or Joe Q shop cannot just buy a exhibit space. You have to find a exhibitor that will buy you a spot in their name for a few hundred bucks.

With that said, I was outside twice.

The first year I was outside in 2005 they put the Billy Goat at the front door and you had to trip over it to get in the building everyday. Killer exposure.

The next time in 2006, I was outside with the Blue Firebird and only 100 feet from where the GTO was the year before, and the car was invisible.

I will NEVER go outside again.

i almost disagree with with frank , almost everone looks at the cars outside, example electronic vendors, truck guys , wheel and tire groups ,and the the hotrod guys . for example again ... i go to sema to see hotrod parts , i dont even go into the truck area , i skim the wheeland tire area , and dont care about the electronics area .

BUT , if you want the core group that you really want to impress it needs to go in that area !

only if the displayed in a strip club i would be set ...
