backspacing ?

Hey guys I'm waiting on some parts to get the rear squared away so I need some help with backspacing for my 78 trans am, its mini tubbed and the 9'' rear I have is 61 11/16'' wide with the rotors included. Thanks Telly

How wide is the stock rearend? How wide do you want to run? I would check with some of the guys running DSE rears on 2nd gens and see how close you are to their overall width because DSE recommends 6.125" backspace on a 12 with their narrowed rears which should get you a good ballpark baseline but typically when you're just cutting a rearend, we always suggest people buy their wheels first because it's a lot easier to mock them up and measure for the rearend than it is to measure for wheels.

Thanks, I'll have to tear down the old rear and measure it!

I need a little more info from you like wheel size, tire size, if it is a DSE mini tub, etc. Give me a call and I can figure it all out for you.
