2004 CTS-V T56 for sale

I hate to do this but recent events have forced me to sell this. I have a 2004 Cts-v t56 6 speed transmission. Vehicle had 26500 miles on it, worked fine when pulled. Also comes with bell housing and shifter assembly. I am asking $1200 OBO plus shipping. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks

SOLD

Would you do me a huge favor? Can you send me a pic of what the shifter adapter looks like underneath please? 4 bolts hold it on and maybe a little sealer. have a theory and its rare to see these CTS T56's floating around.

Wondering if you can run a more conventional shifter location where the shifter adapter bolts on. If so I may be interested. I'm guessing the clutch and flywheel are not included?

If a conventional shifter will bolt up to the adapter location, I'd be willing to pay for the adapter+shifter. I'm curious to see what it looks like underneath. And if it will work on different T56s. My shifter is about 6" too far forward in my car. That adapter/shifter combo might be perfect for my car.

I bought a GTO t56 shifter but it doesn't quite do what I want it to. I'm using a Corvette one now but its a monster.

Honestly I don't know the answer off the top of my head, but I can call a guy I know and find out. The clutch and flywheel are not included as I had planned on adapting this behind my gen 1 SBC and keeping the manual clutch for now until I built my LSX.

Latamud I will try and get some pics up as soon as I can

Yep found out it's just an adapter, four bolts and it pops off and you bolt a conventional shifter in it's location. Latamud if you still wants pics I'll get them to ya tommorow

You may already know this, but the bellhousing for the CTS-V t56 is shorter than a standard t-56

I am running one of these in my car and I think it is a very nice trans. I had a shop go through it and put a GTO tailhousing on it because I wanted to have a slip yoke and conventional shifter location and the shop who did the work said that they put the "good parts" in these transmissions. All I know is that it is very smooth.
