Need help with engine numbers
 

I've looked at over dozen different web sites and I still don't know what I have.

On the pad in front of the passenger side head I found....

327 stamped and an upside down 7 stamped under the 327
T0418HH stamped
18s224542 (partial vin?)
SL stamped (St. Louis assembly plant?)

On the bellhousing flange I found...

3914660 (casting number)
D 17 8 (casting date)
T 14 (????????)

It seems to me that the info is conflicting.
The suffix HH suggest a 65' or 66' 327 out of a vette or a 1969 350.
The vin, I'm not sure what to make of it.
1=GM
8= vehicle model (not sure what model is designated 8)
s= St. Louis

The info on the flange shows a 327 made in 1968.

3914660 is a 68-69 327, that was all I could find in my book, sorry.

Thanks for the reply, and you are correct. I found a book that list that casting number and the suffix HH for a 68 or 69 327.
