Alum Radiator Elec Fan combo help...
hey guys. . what are your recommendations for alum radiator/elec fan combo that I can bolt on.
I'm running a 355 small block with factory ac. I'm thinking about this one. any other suggestions??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Alumi...item3a5e94866f |
I forgot to say; the car is a 1969 camaro!

Read the whole Ad -- can't see anything wrong with that. Remember that you're going to have to run DUAL relays - one for each fan.

I bought that setup with wiring harness (relays included) from them a few years ago and it works perfectly. Built well, never had an issue.

I just bought a Mark VIII fan cheap and in good condition off craigslist and will be installing it in my 68. I already have a Griffin radiator but a dinky electric fan that came with the car is not doing the job at low speeds.
That ebay setup does look pretty nice in the pics. |
so did you buy it?
|
yes, thanks for the suggestions guys.
i did buy it; i removed the stock radiator today; and should be able to install the new one in a couple of days when it arrives. |

hey, since flash68 requested some pictures here you go.
this new setup cools great; no overheating issues at all. its a huge aluminum radiator. it looks good too! it used the factory holes; although i did have to redrill the bottom driver side hole (i think maybe because my radiator support is a repro). i also had to buy a "swivel" radiator neck, because the temparature sensor was in the way of stock water neck. I used a 72' camaro big block hose and it seemed to fit fine! http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/z...SANY0068-1.jpg http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/z...t/SANY0070.jpg |
Looks very nice! Thanks for posting pics. That is a bulky looking piece.
