69 camaro W round tail lights ( crazy idea?)
3 Attachment(s)
what do you guys think. it would problaby look bad ass.
just a thought. rough 5 minute mock up. what type of car would be a good doner for lights? ferrari. |
I'm not sure you'll be happy with the way it looks in five years (or sooner). If it is something you really want to by all means go ahead and get some round tail lights, you could use Corvette ones, Ferrari ones, Nissan GT-R ones...

yeah it would look unique but the 69 tails are already perfect...
now if it was a 67 or 68  |
It's already been done a few times and looks awkward imho. Tyler did it on 50/50 and is now changing it because it looks dated. I think you have to be very careful changing a 69 body, GM got the styling right on them.

opel manta lights would be more period but may be too big http://robson.m3rlin.org/cars/wp-con...concept_04.jpg gtr are nice, http://www.m-99.co.uk/Car_Bodykits/F...upe_bumper.jpg Fiat coupe I think the tail needs thin wide lights rather than round |

I know it's hard to be different and come up with different ideas for a '69 Camaro.
But for resale value stick as close to original as possible. Here's a perfect example of a builder trying to be different and ruining the classic look of the original style: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/uploa...let/868897.jpg So to answer your question, I wouldn't do it. :_paranoid |
