Gotta love life in George Poteet's world...!

Must be nice to have the means to do things the way you want...and George is right, these are as correct as possible.

From the current HMR eight-page feature...pics speak for themselves:

Impressive, that's for sure.

Crazy thing to do for sure.

What's the deal with Minilites, is there some thing I'm missing? Sure a light wheel period correct and all that, yes it looks good but it also very similar to other wheel styles- like a Torq Thrust for example. School me on it.

If he had the tooling made to cast his own wheels in "THE USA" Id be impressed... wheels are way cool though. WAY better then TTII's...

Back in the day,the T/A cars were generating such lateral movement, they were blowing the centers right out of the wheels, especially the magnesium AR 200S wheels, which were so popular with the teams during the 1969-70 seasons. If you go back to those races and look at the final standings, you'll see many DNF results due to wheel-related issues.

It was Roger Penske who spent the money to do the research which led to England's Minilight wheel as being the strongest/lightest option available.
It's all in Dave Friedman's book on early T/A racing...
