its big bucks. as with most stack TB's . have you seen this one ?
I am currently using this for my car |
That looks like a hillborn 18-degree intake with adapters to fit the 15 degree ls1 heads

I believe its actually a katech intake, they build the c5r ones as well as other stuff, heres a thread from ls1tech about ir setups, lots of good reading, hopefully i can squeeze one into the budget for my next motor

A quick google found these: http://kinsler.com/Cat_31_Web_HTMLs/..._screen50.html
There are plenty others out there I've seen over the years as well, but with the tall velocity stacks, none of them will fit under the hood of a musclecar. I've attached a pic of Rick Kirkindals setup, (His screename is lil427z on the board) you may want to pm him for more info. Just be careful, he'll talk your leg off! :D |
Damn ok...I think the filters are ok but I wonder if you don't have one how much crap gets in the engine from normal driving.

Large objects are rare, but what will ruin the cylinderliners and rings are fine dust. It will work like the grinding stones your machineshop use to hone your engine.
It will wear out the block in no time depending the environment where you live. Jan |
