2011 CTS-V Nurburgring Commercial

I like the new Marketing direction they are going. First, the ZR-1 commercial, now the CTS-V commercial.

I like the footage.

From the ad...

"Inspired and humbled by all the great cars that came before us; like the BMW M5 (dramatic pause) and the Mercedes -Benz E63."

Cleverly praising the competition so the consumers connect the dots that the CTS-V is faster than those 2 icons.

I give them a 8 out of 10 for subtle manipulation. :P

Mark Stielow told me I need one of those........... ;) I do know if I ever did get one I'd have him fly out to Thunderhill and torture some track cars in that thing.

Good Ad!

Cadillac continues to work on their image... which (IMHO) was, for many years, sorely lacking. I still perceive a Cadillac as something my father drove. If I were shopping for a car in the 60K bracket - I'd drop by the Audi showroom... to test drive the Audi S4, and I'd certainly consider the CTS-V. I've owned the M5 (2008 SMG POS) and I've recently test driven the E63... both of which are 100K cars... so good for Cadillac to make that comparison.

I'd like to see them do an Ad where they morph a Corvette into a 4 door CTS-V... then into showing 4 people leisurely exiting the car in front of a valet to go to dinner... that might catch the eye of the "once single, newly with family" car types.

Maybe they'll get me next time. I'd like to see a styling change. As a 33 year old professional, I just don't see myself in that car right now. I did buy and S4 a few months back and it's easily my favorite factory car I've owned to date. I'm also glad to see cadillac trying to reinvent themself. I still think the styling is lacking to get a new image. That's a tough line to draw in the sand. If you get to agressive, you lose your loyal customers.

Bad ass car, bad ass commercial. About time GM got their act together with their marketing department and started making some great commercials. Cadillac CTS-V =

I love the fact they brought back the slogan from the 50s and 60s.
They just added a a little twist by saying, (Cadillac the new standard of the world.)
I'm so Proud of GM for showing they can still do it, its about time the sleeping giant woke up. GM did something about all this Euro only performance sedan business.

GM needs to get the IPO over and done with, with that behind them I think they will start to gain some trust back.

That Cad is bada$$...I would love to jam my right foot on the loud pedal in that baby!!
