Which wiring kit?
Which wiring kit should I get for my '69? AAW, Painless or any other contenders?
|
Lot of people like the AAW. Here is one for sale on PT.com

American Auto Wire - only way to go

Worked out great for me and my car. |
Put an American AutoWire in the '55 post I did for my buddy --- wire quality is great - all lengths are labeled... super easy to work with.

Remember, we only sell what we will use on our own cars. By choice AAW is the only one we sell.

Put in another vote for American Autowire.
I tried a Painless (HA!!!) harness as a wiring newbie in 1997. I failed miserably without any good instructions to guide me along. I paid my cousins ex-GM tech's husband to do the install and he botched it up pretty badly. 2009 I decided to gut my car again because it was a serious botch job. I ordered a AAW Hwy 22 kit from MuscleRodz and I did the install myself. It's VERY VERY newbie friendly and their schematics are VERY professional. Their wiring is labeled the entire run of the circuit, and it's idiot proof'd. I put this in a 78z28 mated to a 2004 GTO LS1 drivetrain harness modified by Speartech. |
