DTM paint ??
With the prices of Dupont and PPG being what they are ,, has anyone used Tamco, Upol, Marhyde, or the other no -name DTM primers ?? This is for bottom of floor pan and top,, Sure is a big price difference ,are we paying for name and advertising,, or Quality ?? Surely some of the off brands are effective ??

spi epoxy, if you consider that a dtm. great service and great prices. a lot of guys use this as their foundation and then shoot a poly and other bases/clears over the top.

Look into Matrix, Pro-Spray,Wandabase,been using Matrix for long time,no issues at all, recently started using Wandabase on spot repairs, good match and easy to apply

Bought the SPI, very enformative about product, and sent some of their 2K primer to try, It was worth the try !!!!!

Simple road use, no rain but that wont hurt it. Extended time in the sun (like three years of constant outdoor use) might, it doesnt have any UV additives in it. Time will tell. I plan on driving the car now and not worrying too much about the epoxy primer. So far so good. It has a better abrasion resistance than a top coat would have LOL Not that you want to have your top coat of primo paint subjected to abrasion. But I have small kids. They still dont get the idea they cant drag their toys across dads car when walking by it, but they do. Anyway.. Pics of the SPI epoxy primer car.
