the only mistake here is running skinny (285) street tires. He should be running MT Et Streets, and with the boost limit per gear it would hook. then bye bye bugatti veyron

I hope Nelson got paid for his work.Shelby does not have anyone else to sue these day's so he might short on cash.

pretty wicked car. look around the 8:40 mark when he takes off on the street. there is a cop going the other direction and didnt even notice him burning the tired off that beast. :thumbsup:

I think that Polly's awesome finish in this year OUSCI goes to show that even if you have insane horsepower that you can control it - if you know how to drive. 2nd in the Speed Stop, 5th on the Road Course, 8th on the Autocross in a 1400HP 3rd Gen... Power isn't the enemy if you can control your right foot...

I always do a little math on boosted cars. If you're generous, a car making 1100 to the wheels at 22 psi is making somewhere around 440 to the wheels N/A. 1100/(1+(22/14.7))=440

Doesn't 440 to the wheels sound awfully optimistic for 331" streetable motor ? I don't care how many cams it has. These numbers usually pencial out pretty well because its usually a vette or viper making these big numbers and those 406/427/514" combos can easily make 440 rwhp N/A.

Now, 440 at the crank sounds reasonable for a 331" DOHC motor, maybe even a bit more, but remember this also supposedly has streetable cams etc. in it, and it sounded pretty reasonable if loud.

In the beginning of the vid, they showed 1100 at the crank at 22psi, and then at the end they show 1100 at the wheels, so the wheels number may be some dynojet happiness, and the "real" # is 1100 crank at 22psi.

Not saying its not on the up and up, just kind of wondering how the numbers work out.
