Street rod garage full frame
So just looking for some opinions on the full frame cars versus, dse setup, I personally would think you could get a much more rigid chassis with the full frame, If I recall street rod garage frame is suspose to be bolt in for the most part. I would like to know if anyone has this chassis compared to the Morrison set up, that you have to cut the floor out of the car. I am planning on running the 345 rear tires and already did the mini tubs. thanks for your input

depends...
one is bolt in.. the other requires you redo the whole underside of the car.. in my view it is questionable if the car retains its identity at all.. i mean if you put a camaro on a 4x4 blaser frame, wiuld it be a camaro body in a blaser.. or a 4x4 camaro?? so will it be a 2010 art morrison supercar with a camaro body?? anyway enough with the ranting.. subframeconectors and solid bodymounts wil be as rigis as the full frame... and the frame is a bracket to hold the suspension.. so a frame that doesnt change geometry (=accepts stock geometry suspension ) will do zero for the handling an ATS chicayne kit on a stock subframe will perform as well as a DSE one or within a few % of it.. and cost 6 grand less... if it were me id call marcus at SC&C and have a talk about options before comitting to insanely expensive suspension stuff, more wisely spent on engine and brakes.. and paint.. and fasteners.. and interior.. and A/C and carbonfibre hoods and so on and so forth.... |
