Need some sound advice
I have a dilemma, over the course of a few years I have acquired some cool cars. All projects but running and pretty solid. I have decided to sell two of them to complete and finish one. I just don't know which one to keep. Which one would be worth keeping because I like them all the same. I know it's hard to ask for unbiased opinions but I need them. So I have a 67 Mustang fastback, 69 RS/SS camaro and lastly 68 Firebird. I can post photos tomorrow but until then can I get some opinions.
Thanks guys |
nice line up, if they were mine i'd let the firebird go. I honestly wouldn't be able to part with two. Which one needs the most work?

Keep the camaro.

They are all awesome cars. I would say whichever is further along but that doesn't cut it as you say they are all running and driving so it comes down to something specifically about your love of the car.
Mustangs are generally more expensive to work on. Nice to have around but you have two GMs which would lead me to believe the mustang was you dabbling in something different. I would think it would bring better coin than the bird. I'd let it go. I've got a 68 firebird so I love them. While they are better looking than the mustang or most camaros, if it has a chev engine in it that isn't an ls, I'd let it go. It seems like everybody has a 69 camaro. If they don't have one they want one. It almost seems like you have to have one to join a certain club. Almost a cliche - but you've got an rs. That makes all the difference in the world. I can't get the better off dead rs out of my head. Paint it black and drive it. But this is just my .02. Close your eyes and hear an engine, feel a shifter and steering wheel. Zoom out and see some curves and paint. Which car are you driving? Now just keep it. |
what a cool line-up- Fastback with deluxe red interior seems the most complete- but an RS/SS - wow!

Stuff done
I have complete interiors/kits for the camaro and the firebird brand new in boxes. I have the entire front clip for the camaro, I just took it apart. Mind you I want to due a ground up/type of build not necessarily frame off but pretty close. The fastback was bought as is and I have been unable to purchase anything for it due to lack of time and money. I acquired the other ones first which is they are sort of strip but they were all complete at one point.

Well... one way to do it would be to list them all for sale, and keep whichever one doesn't sell.
Personally, I'd keep the Camaro because I like Camaros better than 'birds, and compared to the Mustang, it's the easiest to improve on with bolt-ons. |

I'm as unbiased as it gets with respect to those 3 options, I'm a Mopar guy... I would keep the Mustang. It's different, and it's a sweet ride!
