Need some body help!

Purchased the front and rear suspension kit from Detroit speed for my 67 Camaro and got to the back and the whole rear end is rotted. Cant find any new metal to weld to, starts right behind the drivers seat. The shock mounts are totally routed out! Does anyone know of a total kit that we can purchase to make it work? Should we mini-tub it?
What a nightmare!

That's just screaming for a custom rear clip. Know what that means? Sky's the limit!!!

Any suggestions on where to find some solutions?

What exactly is rotted? Sounds like you need to replace alot of metal.

Sounds like it need full floor pans? The DSE kit comes with new outer wheelhouses, but you may also have to put in new outer wheelhouses.

Shock mount area may need some fabrication work.

These old cars rust. Gotta get it out, and replace if you want a solid ride when you're done. :D

How bad is it? How are the frame rails, and like Mark pointed out, how are the inner and outer wheelhouses?

Here is my suggestions. If the rails are good, then I would buy a one piece trunk floor, outer wheelhouses, and the DSE minitub kit. If its like mine was you will probably also need tail pan and support. If rails are bad, then I would look at a back half clip from someone and go wild. You can check my car out by clicking on the link in my sig. I am building custom a rear clip, channeled the body 2" and changed everything. I would not suggest this route unless you are really talented fabricator, got deep pockets, or both.

Try 21st century. They have a mini tube kite that has full tube frame rails for the rear that gives the mini tube with wheel wells. Then buy the trunk kit from one of the resto suppliers and start putting it together. Its really not that hard just take your time and a little common sence.Take lots of photos for ref.
