Split Lock header bolts
 

Does anyone have any experience with Percy's Split Lock header bolts? I was looking at either those or the Stage 8. I had a set of Stage 8 when my car had a small block in it and they ended up coming loose. The Split Locks are more money, just wonder if they are worth the money. They look better IMO. Thanks in advance.

I ONLY use the Percy's split locks... especially on a SBC where the clearance issues are difficult enough to start with. Never ever had to tighten them or have a header leak. I also use the EARLS gaskets with the replaceable inserts. The gasket is soft and the aluminum framework allows you to handle them. If you use these - read the instructions FIRST... as you want to roll off the edges and place the gasket material on a hard flat surface - then snap the frame over them.
