68 Camaro Part 2
I originally built this car while i was in high school. It was very bare. No AC/Heat, radio, or interior for that matter. I really wasn't too concerned about it back then. In college i wrecked it because i fell asleep (you would wonder how considering the car was crazy loud, finals, no sleep, dorms closed up).
After 3-4 years, work has started to slow down enough for me to start working on her again. Current parts list: Forged 347 LS1, ported heads, monster cam, ewp Stainless Works headers D&D T56 Trans Denny's Nitrous Ready Driveshaft Moser 12-bolt, 33spline, 4.11s Autometer Gauges Fuel cell in trunk Planned parts: Aftermarket sub-frame (leaning towards Art Morrison) G-Link rear C6Z06 brakes (seem to be the most budget friendly option) Fikse 5 or 5S wheels DSE Mini-tub Vintage Air Electric Windows (any recommendations?) Ricks tank etc, etc What do y'all think about putting a '69 dash in? It will allow all my gauges to be centrally located as well as allowing an e-brake where the console used to be. Or has any body see an e-brake worked into the center console? Should i keep the drip rails or remove them? Here are some pics of how she looked before i started taking her apart. Car will be going to the body shop either this week or next week to get put in primer. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...IMG_2831-1.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...IMG_2830-1.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...IMG_2819-1.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...8/IMG_2850.jpg |
Nice !!!!
Very Nice project ! Make sure you post pics. as you get things done !
Good Luck ! |
My body guy sent me some pics. It's actually ready for pickup but I am working till Feb so ill get it then. i gave him a few more things to do until then. Still trying to decide on rear suspension. I had decided on the G-link but now im worried about ride height after watching Rybar's thread.

I love that last pick looking from the rear down the side to the nose.. that is the best part of the 67/8.
And to comment on the suspension, I think Ryan resolved all of his issues. Not speaking for him of course but read the last of his thread. |
Thanks, I will probably give Frank a call on Tuesday and get the rear suspension ordered along with the mini tubs.
