79 Camaro 12-22-2010 01:30 PM

ProCar Rally 1000

I'm builiding a 73 Camaro. Trying to decide on seats.

Leaning towards ProCar Rally 1000 seats. I'm 6"2" and 220 lbs.

Anyone have them in a second gen?

Any opinions on my head hitting the head liner?

Thanks,

I bought the Procar 90s, installed in a 70 Camaro. They went in okay, but they do put my head too close to the roof- I don't have a headliner yet. I've looked at them and it looks like- with 4 holes drilled, you can mount the seat to the bracket- get rid of the sliders and gain an inch or so. I can't do it now because the car is in paint jail. I would not recommend these seats for guys like us- I am 6'2" and 205 lbs. Good luck!

Im 6'0 250 and like the rallys better than any other seat I looked at. Check out my car, 73 z28, by clicking link at the bottom of my profile. You'll see the seats in it. I have bought them again for the 70 Nova I'm building. I built my own brackets out of 1" by 1" square tube and used the sliders. This also allows you to sit the seats back farther than factory. I can get full extension on my legs. They sit very low in the car.
