Anyone running Borla Pro XS mufflers

Are they pretty quiet? How do they sound?

RickM415 12-22-2010 05:41 PM

i used them with mine but i had twin turbos, I have no idea on how would they sound without the turbos,it also depends on headers and cam I guess

Borla

Are they quiet when you are idling and cruising around?

RickM415 12-23-2010 01:46 PM

ok here was the combination ...lsx 6 speed twin turbo 1-3/4" headers then 3 inch downpipes x-pipe 3" borlas and 3" over the axle exiting at a 45 degree angle by the quaterpanel ends

at idle it sounded like a stock ls1

regular driving the engine appeared to be louder than exhaust

full throttle fairly loud

i belive they are 16" housings

hope this helps ...by the way nice car you have

Thanks Rick

no problem ,some people say turbos act like mufflers, so take that into consideration.

mufflers

Shay are your tailpipes 2.5" or 3"? I'm leaning towards the XS mufflers, I read somewhere that they pop sometimes when you let off the gas, have you ever had this happen?
Is that the same Camaro you had the ProCharged 540 in? Or is it a new build?
Beautiful!!!

Bolras

Thanks guys, No this is a new build and its about finished. I have been driving around the neighborhood is all. Have not put the front or rear glass in yet until I pull headliner and do package tray. The pipes are 3in all the way. No popping in the mufflers.
