NEW integrated merge spike design by Stainless Works on all Headers

Small details can make a big difference when it comes to performance.
That's why we're proud to introduce the newest feature to our line of exhaust systems the integrated merge spike. Designed to promote better airflow, all Stainless Works V8 long-tube headers are now manufactured with high-performance, integrated merge-spikes.*
Increased Power
Too much air resistance or back-pressure, can make it difficult for the cylinders to expel exhaust, restricting an engine's power. Merge spikes help reduce turbulence, which means less back-pressure; allowing your engine to unleash more power.

Better Scavenging
Inspired by race-system technology and performance dyno testing, the Stainless Works merge spike was developed to direct airflow towards the center of the collector, which helps promote scavenging.

Improved Sound
The other benefits of creating a more directional airflow is that the turbulence within the collector is reduced; improving performance, and generating a purer sound.
*excludes 6 cylinder, turbo and shorty headers.

Headers

Any news on 2" headers to fit an art morrison subframe for a 1969 camaro?

Xplosive Performance 01-09-2011 11:48 PM

What motor are you running? I can say that we really do not make a header specific for an art morrision chassis. If the chassis deminsion are racially different then stock I'm not sure maybe art morrision can suggest a header. If it is simlar to a stock chassis then the SB or the LS1 may fit. I know there are a couple chassis builders that with an LS1 only there headers will work. If you give us some more info we maybe able to help
Thanks

For an LS engine. I had heard somewhere that one for that chassis was in the works. Art morrison offers headers specific for the application, but would like to compare a SW alternative.

Let me check on it and i will get back with you.

I do not want to steal Explosive thread, but yes on the 2" AME headers. We are finishing the prototypes and will have Prodigy / Stainless Works 2" AME headers very soon. We will also have them for DSE frames also.

AME only offers 1 3/4 in steel or ceramic.

Now back to the thread.

Thanks Frank, thats exactly what I was looking for. I assume the headers will line up with the cutouts in the AME subframe as their own headers would?

I realy did not want this to happen to this thread, but no, 2" only for now. AME has 3/4 so for now were going to call it covered.
