Detroit Speed or Global West Upper & Lower A Arms???

I'm looking at upgrading the front A-Arms (upper and lower) and would like to hear your recommendations.

Global West or DSE? Pro's and Con's on each?
These will go on a street '69 Camaro with a 454 / TKO 600 and Cat 5 rear leafs under the 12 bolt. Mostly street bruiser with occasional auto cross and strip action.
I will be running lowering coil springs and stock type shocks due to budget.
All feedback is appreciated.

I would go with DSE. They beat the crap out of their stuff and have real world testing. Plus I like the caster tuners, these give you more tunning capabilities.

Global West has been around for a long time and I'm sure make a quality product, I'm just more familar with DSE's prodcuts and their customer service is top notch.

Either way you go will be an improvement over the stock control arms.

Personally I don't think you could go wrong w/either brand.I know Kyle & Stacey and they only want to put out top quality products. And I am sure Global West has the same Idea's.Look at both product's and talk to both company's,so you can make up your own mind .Good Luck. Scott.

We sell both those brands as well as a few other brands. Each are good arms, some have added advantages.

For example with Speetech arms you can do a simple redrill of the control arm shaft mounting on the frame and effectivly Gulstrand your car without cutting off the bracket and re welding.

Feel free to call and discuss all options.

Would you just lower the holes and not move them back? 3/4" lower?

Hello Frank,
If I purchase the F6769RAP BB Kit which is the Speed Tech Upper and Lower A Arms with QA1 Coil Over Shocks, Do I still need to perform the Guldstrand Mod? Is the Caster adjustment of +5 degrees not built into the new cross-shafts?

I don't mind having to to perform the mod, just looking for what will give me the best performance at an affordable price.

Will I need to go to "tall" spindles to get a lower stance or will the coil overs adjust to about 2" lower than stock.

So many questions...

I have Global West upper and lowers on my 64 Impala. They designed them with slight negative caster for better highway speed handling. Amazing arms but they are spendy. I found mine on ebay for 650 for all 4! New they cost 1700. Global West also designs in there arms the ability to use stock shocks, airbags, and even coil overs which is nice.

You only need to do the G mod if you want to. and only if you do not do the tall spindles.

The arms have 4.5 deg built into them not the shafts so 5 deg is no problem

If you go to the tall spindle there are really only 2 options one the ATS has a 7/8" drop. I would not recomend the 2" drop spindles with a high back space wheel as they tend to cause clearance issues.
generally the qa1 kit will get the car down as low as you need it.
We are also going to begin developing the same style of coil over set up using the Ridetech shocks and a swivel top mount using a true coil over shock.
OR there is the Chicane upper conversion, using either QA1 or Ridetech coil overs. with the combination of upper/lower arms, swaybar.

how many options would you like???
hope that answers the ?'s
sorry to jump in Frank

No, just straight down, making sure the arm tubes clear the factory frame.
the reason the holes were moved back was to increase the Caster, now with that built into the arms not required.
