Aternative to Baer Trackers

What is the taper on the stock 69 camaro spindle for the tie rod? I thought it was 7* but the GM one states 10*. I think the threads on a stock tie rod for a 69 Camaro are 5/8"NF thread so the Pinto one would not work.

I have some really bad bump steer with the 2" lowering springs on my car. Eventually I will replace everything with DSE, GW or Speedtech but in the meantime I would like to reduce this problem.

Is it worth the hassle I should I just buck up for the Baers?

they should help. If you take the time to adjust them correctly and measure the bump correctly, the best way is with a bump gauge. and hope that you can get it adjusted before you have issues with the outer tir rod end and the rim.
the taper is a 1.5" per foot and the threads are 5/8 nf as you stated

Blake, is 1.5" per foot around 7*? If so would I have to use the Pinto unit not the GM?
On a side note can you use stock type control arm with an AFX spindle or does is require a flatter arm such as the high clearance arm?

You can definatly use a stock type arm, just that the Hiclearance arm helps the ball joint angles and increases wheel clearance.

If your looking to get rid of your bumpsteer you can bolt our Pro Billet geometry corrected steering arms onto your stock spindle and you dont have to worry about using shims and rod ends.

If I do use the adjustable peices from Speedway as a temporary solution does anybody know how long of an adjustment sleeve I'll need? My car is in storage for the winter so I can't measure, thanks
