I've been working on this thing for about 2 years now. I finally have a little more time to really start getting stuff done.
I have about 95% of the parts, I just need to put it together, starting with the back half. I bought a rear end thinking it was the right width for my ap but it was way too wide (pretty big mess up on my part) but oh well. I just got my new Moser M9 and 35 spline axles. Saving up for the center. List of parts: Powdercoated frame, inner fenders rad support Solid bushings Global West uppers and lowers ATS spindles Hotchkis sway bar C5 vette brakes (front) Wilwood brakes w/parking brake (rear) Lee steering box CPP master Moog steering components Moser M9 rear end, 35 spline axles (saving for center w/ wavetrac) 406 sbc, should have around 550-575hp, going to dyno (eventually will go LS) LT1 T56, Mcleod twin disc clutch and aluminum flywheel 20 gal fuel cell, aeromotive a1000 pump Forgeline SO3s 18x8 18x12 KDWs 245/335 Corbeau seats Momo steering wheel New vintage redline series gauges AAW wiring harness 2010 camaro ss badges in red Marquez design tail lights, brushed Had to start this project on a dirt/gravel driveway. I now have it in a friends garage. Car is going to be painted matte black. Brakes will be red. Bumpers and trim are going to be painted as close to brushed nickle as I can find. I currently have the trunk out and am ready to start the back half. A good friend is helping me who actually knows what he's doing. I'm learning as I go. I will post more pics when we start the back half. We're doing a tri 4 link similar to the art morrison setup. It's not as nice as many of these projects I see on here but I'm trying to do everything myself with some help from friends. Can't wait to get it on the road! |
Nice project and a sweet parts list. I like the wheels.

looking sweet my man, keep it up. You're way ahead of me. good job

pics of the Marquez taillights and the Momo steering wheel. You can't tell in the pics but I had the taillight housings brushed instead of polished to match the wheels

Test fit the new rear today. Ended up fitting perfect. I need to get some steel and start building the frame now that I have the rails. Here's a couple pics...

This one looks like a cool project. I think I'll follow this build.

Working on getting the front end put together to set the ride height before we start the building the rear. Got the inner fenders and rad support on there today and started taking all of the front body parts to metal. I am going to primer all the body parts before I put them on, hopefully by next weekend.
