c-3 vette guys

whats the widest tire you can run wit hout offset trailing arms.like a 295-35,or a 315-35

is there a lowering kit for one.

275 40 17 on a 9" rim is the real max you can squeeze without rubbing on the pre 78 models. You can go to a 315 on the newer ones but it is wise to relocate the parking brake cable on the stock trailing arm. You can lower the rear by installing longer rear spring bolts.

its on 69.was think about offset trailing arms and 295-35 or 315-35.and using a vette brakes suspension kit to lower it.sound good or not

I am running the VB&P performance plus on my 69 and offset trailing arms. You can go with a 5" bs on a 18" or larger rim and you might squeeze a 10" rim on the back. THe stock bs is 4" so you would only be going an inch wider on the outside allowing room for the 295. The 315 would be tight on the 69 fender lip (the are not as wide as the newer ones).

Due the small difference in the fender design on 68-69 vs the 70-82 you can only run 275's at the back and 255's at front.

rocketman 01-19-2006 04:27 PM

i seen a 69 in a old phr with 315-35-17,s might try this or go 295 35 18 rears,with 245 or 255 up front
