about how much vacuum should I have
 

I just installed a vacuum gauge to my valve cover and was wondering what type of numbers should I be getting. Its a 598 with manual brakes and steering and a vacuum pump. Its reading about 4 pounds at idle then increasing to about 10 pounds if I rev the engine..are these about right? thanks
