Project Bad.Samaritan
Hello all
I was told about this site a year or two ago by a friend Eric (70rs on here) and have lurked and drooled at the amazing builds on this site. I figured it's time to introduce myself and start a thread for my project. My name is Mason and I live in Maple Valley Washington, but I'm originally from Nor-Cal (Dunsmuir / Mt. Shasta) and still call it home. A few years ago I came across a pretty clean but very stock 1970 Chevelle and have been addicted ever since. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_q...Chevelle_1.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_q...8/IMG_0810.JPG Right off the bat I got interested in pro-touring and have started moving the car in that direction slowly but surely. Looking forward talking with you guys and getting some feedback on what I'm doing currently with the car. |
Welcome, it looks like a clean Chevelle. Looking forward to see how your project develops.

Thanks, it's getting there one winter's worth of work at a time.

Here's where the car stands today:
Rear New 12 bolt UMI boxed lowers Hotchkis adjustable uppers 3.42 gear ratio stock springs stock swaybar Trans Built Th350 36 element sprag (looking into alternatives thinking tko 600) Engine Freshly built 454 .030 over Demon 850 Carb lunati 60204 cam 049 heads Front suspension: Hotchkis front sway bar Stock at the moment (I have UCA/LCA & coil overs from speedtech on back order.) Current Projects/upgrades: Rear disc conversion Hydroboost Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box swap Future Projects/upgrades: MPFI or LSx swap OD trans wheels and tires |
I vote for the LSx & TKO option.....
Im glad to see a thread started Mason. Its about time! ;) I hope we can get together this summer. I want to see all of the work you have done. |
Better check out Ironworks new Chevelle chassis... it's a pretty bad azz piece!
Give your car a good base. |
This sounds like a nice project. Good luck with it.
