Tire to rear quarter clearance???
 
How much clearace is recommended from tire to rear quarter? I am installing a Chassisworks rear clip with canted 4 bar and I am about to build my rearend. Any suggestions on clearance?

I have always been told .5" is enough........everyone agree with that?

You don't need much outside clearance, inside is what matters.

I would agree with Todd and Anthony. Especially since you are running a triangulated 4 link. The body does not move side to side in squat and roll as it would with a track bar. A watts link also keeps the body from translating side to side. So a half inch is good. However the you must pay attention to clearance on the interior of the tires. As the body rolls, the tires move on an arc in the wheel well. Get one of those Percy's wheel tools and mock it up to check. It's hard to give number as it is rare to have the geometry be the same between cars. Maybe someone on here does have the same setup and can help. Good l :thumbsup: uck.
