Looking for a good fiberglass/carbon fiber part supplier
I was curious if anyone here has had any experiance with a good fiberglass company? I am looking to shed some weight for my '69 Camaro build. I will be using an LS1 as well as aftermarket suspension to lower weight. So far I have not found one fiberglass company with good reviews. Glasstek and VFN has mixed reviews. Unlimited is junk, not many good things to read about US Body source. I have not heard much about Fiberglass Advantage. I know Anvil has a good reputation but I plan on painting the hood, header and deck lid. It would be a shame to cover the carbon fiber unless I can get a blem from them.
Thanks |
You did not mention Harwood for fiberglass. Checked them out?

Hi its James, the guy that bought the rear end from you (still working on getting that in too :willy: ) . Call Anvil auto, they can make fiberglass parts and the fit and finish is top notch, I wouldn't go with anyone else.

I did look in to Harwood and surprisingly I did not find many positive things said about their hoods. A lot of complaints of how their hoods fit around the cowl area.
Hey James, so Anvil makes fiberglass parts too? Makes sense since they have carbon fiber and fiberglass mix parts. I will have to look into that. Thanks. Also good luck with the rear end, you will get it in sometime I am sure. |
