Hydraulic clutch suggestions...

I have a 68 Ford Mustang with a SBF and a TKO-600. The bellhousing is McLeod scatter shield. I was wondering what hydraulic clutch setups have been tested or would be recommened by y'all. Current setup is a Ron Morris cable setup. The routing is not the best and the effort is on the high side.

I just got one of these from American Powertrain so I am singing their praises. They make one for stangs.

After doing some searching I decided on gathering together the parts needed to do "custom setup" (not in a kit) using some prefab brackets and misc parts and pieces from several places. Once all the parts are in one place I will update with some pics and show the install.

After getting the hydraulics installed and getting to test it out I am only getting about 1" of throw at the clutch fork. In most cases online this appears to be ideal. For some reason it is not enough in my case. The clutch does not fully disengage. I'm going to switch the master out for one that will give me 1.5" of travel. Could my bell housing, fork, trans combination... not sure.

If you need more travel at the fork or slave you can go with a bigger bore MC. If you give more details on what you put together that would be helpful.

I had a 3/4 master going to a 7/8 slave that gave me 1" slave travel. Pedal travel is adjusted to 1.4" which is the max m/c stroke. Pedal feel was great but I need more travel. I just got the 7/8 m/c I ordered today that should make travel 1:1 at the expense of pedal effort. I'm going to get it installed and hopefully won't have any problems. The travel should be exactly the same as what I had before with the cable setup.
