Renamed the car a few times lately!
Hurst linkage on my Richmond 5 speed(let's not get into the richmond debate) has been a pain in my arse for the past month. Between modifying the mounting plate, remodifying the mounting plate, welding on an offset shifter socket, modifying (beating the hell out of) the linkage arms for clearances I think I finally got it in and can move on, but it's amazing while being in the garage alone under the car during uneventful fittings how many new names I came up with for my project. None I've noticed have been taken on this forum but I'm sure have crossed your vocal cords form time to time. It's even more ah inspiring how many of these new names I can string together in a five second span:yes:

Sorry Lenie -- Richmond trans suck bilge water. Junk it and get a Tremec.
:>) Hey -- what days you going to find me at GG?? |
Yeh I know, came in a box with the car. Just trying to draw a line:(

When I was a lot younger I used to work on my car in my brothers yard and I called my truck by a lot of those same names. My friends daughter was like my conscience. Every once in a while I would he I heard that Wayne! So I would mumble a few special names for her too. Its tough when something isn't working right and you'd like to change it but you got to tow the line..

Wayne, it's amazing how I react differently to adverse conditions when my garage is empty compared to having bystanders. I am towing the line as I have other projects I'm dying to get to and at this rate, it may be the latter. Tow the line, something new, I like that.

You wouldn't want to send a choir boy into my garage, that I can guarantee.:D
