look over my suspension progress...

OK, I have played with the suspension analyzer program & think I'm close to where I want to be geometry wise, Give the #'s a look over correct me if i need to change anything. My upper mount is temporary in place to check my work as I'm making all my parts as I go..Dave, :faint: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0470.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0473.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0490.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0492.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0464.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0463.jpg

My lower mounts are @ .3 degrees down toward the front I can add a little more rake before locking down my upper plate if I need more angle on the lower bars) 7 degrees Castor & .5 Neg Camber. I also only have 1.3 Degrees anti-dive , Need more anti-dive? Should I weld my upper mounts that close to spec's or leave more room to adjust if needed ?

The anti-dive angle does sound low..BUT it is really dependent on the nose weight, ride height, and aspect ratio of the tires you are running. 340 small-block, 5-6" ride, and 40 series tires?

Are you running a manual rack and pinion? If so 7deg might be a little heavy on caster. For power steering it should be ok. I was also wondering how you are going to get the tie rods to clear the subframe? Running as much spacer as it looks like you will need isn't the safest idea with those aluminum uprights.

I still have room to play with the anti-dive #'s, how much more should I run? Or just control it with the spring rate? Yes to small block, 6" ride hight & 45 series tire ,Power steering. The rack is in the same spot & style ( Mustang) as everyone that makes a frame has it & will use dropped steering arms that I Will NOT Make.. That is one component that you have to trust with your life. Keep in mind that I'm not done on any part of this project & need gussets here , mounts there ETC... I'm learning as I go.

I went up a .5 on the front & down .5 on the rear mount for the upper arm . -.72 camber gain & 1.75" roll center. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0508.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG0511.jpg

I was going to suggest about 3deg anti dive for that low C of G and the short sidewalls, but 4 as you have it shouldn't be a problem. Sounds like you have the rest pretty much ironed out.
