New Twist on the New Gen 500's

Been sitting on this for a few weeks until I had time to get my wheels on the rolling chassis and start an official build thread. Well, the wheels are on, but I haven't had time yet to start a build thread that starts at "the beginning". I don't want to keep Jon & Justin's fine work hidden indefinitely, so here's a few picks of the wheels they made for me to give you a sneak peak until I get the time to create a build thread to explain how I got to this point on my '70 Chevelle SS.

Front: 18X9, 5.5BS with 1.5" pad (Baer Pro Plus 6P 14" brakes behind 'em). 275/35 Falken Azenis RT615K

Rear: 18X10, 6.0BS with 1.0" pad (Baer SS4+ 13" brakes behind 'em). 295/40 Falken Azenis RT615K

Windows are painted cyber-metallic gray. Might be a little too light, but the car is being repainted the factory shadow gray, so in the end it might compliment the paint. If not, I'll just re-shoot the windows with a darker gray (something just short of black). The caps are custom billet caps Driverz, Inc outsourced to EVOD. Caps are nice and really "make" the wheels, in my opinion. My only gripe is that they took a long time make & fit to the wheels, so the whole process took a little longer than expected (I guess that's why they call them 'custom wheels', right?)

daymmm! :D
i had to stare at those wheels extra long!
the 3 different finish are what make the wheels look sooo sick and having the larger caps polished just gives the wheels a perfect balanced look.

Thanks for Posting Rob! Wheel look bad ass. It did take some time but that one the the most custom set of wheels we have built to date. Glad you are happy!

Hopefully in another two weeks we'll have the body mounted to it so you can get a better idea as to the overall look and stance. Engine is currently off the chassis and back at the engine shop to swap out the oil pan (hits the centerlink at full turn), tune the EFI, and dyno the setup so we know where we're really starting from (hoping for 750 hp, but will settle for slightly less!).

Very nice and unique...will be interested to see how the light grey works with your body color.

That looks awesome, I have plans to do that to my 70 Chevelle.

Looking really really good ROB! :hail:

The satin clear over the entire center really makes it for me. The grey looks darker in the shade, and lighter in direct sunlight, I'm thinking the satin clear is what does it.

Can't wait to see your car finished! Rolling chassis looks bitchin!

Those do look really nice!
