My Z06 build
Hey guys
I tend to troll on here more than anything but I thought I would post my creation. After lots of time and money I am just awaiting a final tune on the car and it will be complete. I bought this car in 2003 with 17km on it (canadian car). I now have 27,000 miles on it. Only about 5000 of which are on the new drivetrain. I would love to get thing thing out to a standing mile event before anything else just to make sure its running well and see how it reacts to very high speeds. I do all the work on this car myself so it was almost like having 2 jobs for a while. What my goal was with this vehical was to create a stock mannered car with stereo, air, etc with the ability of all out performance. Its a fun buggy and hope you all enjoy the pics. take care :) Modifications Motor: 403ci A&A Corvettes Forged and Stroked Aluminum Block LS2 Motor 4.005" bore 4.00 stroke Solid Stainless Valves made by “SI” -14cc Dish Forged Manley Pistons Forged Eagle Crank Skat Forged 6.125 rods Hellfire Rings ARP Main Studs Clevite Bearings Ported Oil Pump Patriot Dual Springs Comp Cams Cromolly Hardened Pushrods RPM Motors Inc CHE Modified Rockers Custom ground blower Comp Cams 214-226/259-269-115 LSA Roll Master Double Timing Chain & Gears 9.6:1 Compression Edelbrock Aluminum 215cc CNC milled by West Coast Racing Cylinder Heads 74cc Innovators West Custom 8” Balancer SFI SPEC 18.1 A&A Billet Aluminum MAF Scattershield K&N Valve Cover Breather Custom Painted Valve Covers/ Fuel Rail Covers by Ottawa Valley Custom Paint Ignition: Taylor 409 10.4MM Race Wires Optima Red Top Extreme Duty Cycle Battery NGK-3346-BR7EF (0.030" gap, two steps colder) Fuel System: RSI Stage 3 Advanced Fuel System Twin In-tank Walbro GSS341 255lph Fuel pumps -6 Braided steel lines throughout Adjustable Aeromotive Polished Fuel Pressure Regulator -10 RSI Fuel Rails Powder Coated Black VDO Fuel Pressure Gauge on FP Regulator 80 lb High Impedance Ford Racing Injectors A&A Progressive Methanol Injection Kit (Cooling Mist) Power Adder: A&A Vortech Polished V7 YSI-Trim Supercharger Kit A&A Large Dongle Air Intake and Filter A&A Air to Air Intercooler Polished Vortech Mondo Bypass Valve A&A 8 rib pulley setup A&A belt Tensioner system with HD Tensioner Champion MotorSports Pulleys Cartek Flip Drive Pulley System Crilly Chassis Works Custom Intercooling Piping and other modifications Cooling: Dewitts High Capacity Aluminum Radiator Dewitts High flow Dual Spal Fan Shroud 180 degree thermostat A&A Air Filter Throttle Coolant Bypass Air Flow hood lip liner Exhaust: American Racing Long Tube Headers 1 7/8 Race Headers Random Technology Matrix Hi Flow 3” Catalytic Converters American Racing 3” X-Pipe and 3"extention pipes SLP Power-Flo Cat-back System (modified) Custom Heat Shield on Rear Bumper Tuning: HP Tuners Pro MPVI Tuning Software/Hardware AEM Wide Band Full tune by Arun Ahuja @ Canadian Performance Engines Brakes: C6 Z06 Cross Drilled Big Brake Kit 6 Piston Calipers Front, 4 Piston in back Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads Goodrich Stainless Braided Brake Lines Cartek Line Lock-Kit Transmission / Clutch: RPM Level 5 M6 carbon syncros billet keys bronze pads steel shift fork cryoed gears cryoed 30 spline output shaft DTE Transmission/Rear End Strut Brace Advanced Clutch Technologies Extreme Twin Disk Clutch and Billet Steel Flywheel ACT Twin T2S-G01 950lbtq MGW Shifter CAGS Skip shift Eliminator Adjustable Tick/Tilton Master Cylinder RPM Remote Clutch Bleeder Rear End: RPM Level 5 3 rib HD Z06 case Billet alum pinion support 300M left output shaft 300M right output shaft and spider gear HD Carbon clutch packs HD clutch springs Cryoed 3.42 Gear 30 spline gears Suspension: Stock Z06 Bilstein Sport Shocks Lowered 2 inches C6Z06 Sway Bar Aluminum Suspension End Links Chassis: Wolfe Race Craft 6 point cage Heavy Duty CCA Tunnel Plate Exterior: Stock Z06 Black Modified Turn Signal Lights Halo LED Taillights ACP World Challenge Heat Extractor Hood TPE T2 Fender Flares 22 % Tint on All windows Shorty Antenna C5R Front Splitter Custom Z06 1000hp Anti-Venom Badges CCW SP16A Forged Wheels Powder Coated Black 18X10 and 19X13 275/35/18 and 345/30/19 Kumho Ecsta XS Tires for Street Interior: Stock Mod Red Z06 Autometer Z Series Boost Gauge Autometer Z Series Fuel Pressure Gauge Stewart Warner Digital Shift Light Gauge AEM WideBand Gauge Autometer Triple A-Pilar Gauge Pod Column Lock Bypass Italian Leather Shifter Boot Italian Leather E-Brake Boot Stereo: Pioneer In-Dash 7”Touch Screen DVD AVH-P6800 Stereo Head Unit 2 - Cliff Designs 5 ¼” Mid Bass front 2 - Infinity Reference Mid 3.5” front 2 - Cliff Designs 1 inch tweeters 2 - Infinity Reference Rear Mid 5 ¼” Speakers 2 - Rockford Fosgate Punch II Dual Voice coil 8” Subwoofers MB Quartz 5400 - 5ch Amplifier Custom made door enclosures Custom made Fiberglass Sub boxes Blue Tooth Enabled with RIM Blackberry Articles in Magazines: http://www.planetlsx.com/vehicles/Sinister/81 http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...em.php?gik=341 http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_00000015.jpg http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_00000028.jpg http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...w/IMG_1587.jpg http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_00000030.jpg http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_00000015.jpg http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_00000031.jpg |
Please feel free to move this to the "Introduction Section"

Pretty cool Z! Nice list of goodies on it too. What kind of hp/tq numbers and whats the rpm spread on the torque curve?
I imagine it goes like hell with that motor. |
:
Nice:thumbsup:

At 5500rpm it made 818rwhp and 707lbtq. The car was going lean and turned out one of the fuel pumps was going bad. I installed a whole new fuel system and will be getting it tuned again with some full pulls to 6800rpm. By the looks of it it will be around 860rwhp - 900rwhp once done at 18lbs of boost on 91 octane with methanol as a saftey net. As for the curve it is was at 400lbs at 1700rpm, 500lbs at 3000rpm, 680 at 5000rpm, and at 5250rpm was at 707lbs where the car was shutdown soon after due to the lean condition :( |
Bad ass ride for sure. I like that offset stripe.

Great car. Looks great and I bet it hauls out pretty good.

Nice car, great job on the build
