NewGen: LITES on Dan's 68 Roadrunner

Dan Weishaar’s 68 Roadrunner is very well known as one of the only Roadrunners on the street that gets pounded on at every event. Up until now, he’s been running a very heavy steel “D” window wheel in 17’s. When it was time to take the car to the next level, Dan gave us a call, interested in the NewGen “LITE” wheel, and after measuring the vehicle, and knowing Dan wanted the same size wheel and tire on all four corners, we were able to shove an 18x10 on all four corners with 295 fat BFG rubber, with plenty of clearance for Dan to run it hard on track days.

After a quick comparison between the old set of wheels and the new, not only did Dan pick up extra tire height, and width, but he shaved almost 17lbs a corner, proving the Lite… is … LIGHT.

The wheels are finished with our Gun Metal centers, and a brushed outer. Thanks Dan for running our NewGen wheels, and we can’t wait to join you out on the track when our project cars are finished next year!

The car looks awesome! What back spacing did you use?
