T56 part numbers/ id model year?
 

Does anyone know a source or a link to decoding the numbers on a t56 to determine what year of car it came out of?

There is no definitive list pubished on the web that I've found. You've probably seen this (weak) late model link:

Other ways I've used - Wikipedia, Google the ID tag number itself, posting a thread like BadRS Rick did, and emailing Tremec directly. If you have one in mind PM me and I'll hunt it up for you...:thumbsup:

Thanks Ron! I have a specific number off the case and tail housing. I will email them to you.

The link you listed would answer everything, if the tranny had the tag on it still. I only have casting numbers to go on.
