New here, with new to me 67 Camaro
 

Hey guy's a little about me. I've been lurking on here a while so I figured I would register and say "Hi". I've always been into cars but mainly newer vehicles. For some reason I couldn't pull the trigger on buying an older vehicle. I always figured I could drive something new for what I was going to spend on something old. Well after years of dumping thousands of dollars into newer cars I finally did it and bought a 67 Camaro. I've always loved Camaro's, their probably one of my favorite cars of all time. Anyway some of my previous vehicles were an 03 Cobra, S2000, Evo, a few Vettes including a 750whp monster. After dumping truck loads of money into them and then getting about half of what you put into them I figured enough is enough :D Lol, that and im getting older too :rofl: I recently sold my 02 Z06 to buy the Camaro, some people say I was crazy, but hell I sold the Vette for $25K and bought the Camaro for $15K, not to mention the Vette will keep losing value.

A little about the Camaro. It has a basic 350 with a mild build, cams, headers nothing crazy. It's a 3 speed with a 12 bolt rear, with gears I absolutely hate. At 65mph on the freeway im at like 4-4500 rpm :willy: Since I bought it, I lowered it a bit, bought some cheap 17's off a friend for now, I plan on going with some 3 piece forged wheels later. It had a nice interior already, but im more of a custom type person, I don't really consider myself a purist (I know that bother's some, lol but oh well it's my car :P) so I redid the interior, or I should say it's in the process (should be done later today) I'll probably do a few other things to it later, but for now im really happy with it. It get's so much attention it's not even funny. My 02 Z was really nice and I don't think it got the attention this car gets. Anyway here are a few pix of my car/cars.

Nice First Gen to Start With
 

Don't sweat it making it the car you want, my first Camaro was a 67 that was harvest gold and a 283 with a power glide from the factory. By the time I was done with it, it had a 396, muncie, 4 speed, cowel induction hood and 3.73 - 12 bolt. Do it the way you want.

Thanks!! Yeah we'll see how it turns out, I love the car as is just hate the gears. Makes just cruising around unpleasant knowing im at 4-4500 rpm just to keep up with traffic.
