L9H Oil Filter Problem
 

I noticed an pool of oil under my truck today with the L9H. After a quick investigation I found my oil filter was not tight.

I have put less than 1000 miles on the truck since I bought it(has 21K). It has not been leaks oil prior to today, which makes me wonder why oil filter suddenly decided to loosen its self.

Any thoughts?
Is it something I should take in to get checked out immediately, or see if it's fixed?

filters usually do not loosen up; they tighten up. I would pull the filter and make sure that the o-ring seal from the previous filter isn't stuck to the block when the oil was changed.

I'll add that if there isn't an extra o-ring in there I'd swap the filter anyway, just for piece of mind. Grab a new filter before you pull that one off so you can do it in one shot. Pretty cheap insurance.
