Holley Stealth Ram
 

Looking to purchase a Holley Stealth Ram. I have a 383 with aluminum heads. 420hp. They list so many. Which one is best for my application? Thanks for any help. Best part #'s?

Not one person on here has ever used this type of fuel injection? Or know anything about it?

I think you threw everybody off when you said they make so many. If you're talking about the intake they pretty much make only one for small block and non-Vortec heads (if that's what you have). Not sure they sell the intake separately anymore as I don't see it listed that way. Used to, bought for a friends Procharged small block a few years back.

If you're speaking of the EFI system itself I'm not sure there is anybody here familiar with them. I have only tuned their older systems and would not recommend them, but the new stuff is supposed to be very good.

Thank you. I guess I wasn't clear, "so many kits" was phrased wrong. There are kits needing a laptop and ones without needing a laptop using there computer. I was just curious if any one was better than the other. Thanks again. Sorry, new to the efi stuff and don't want to just put a LS motor in. Looking for something different. The inglese is cool, but way out of my price range.

The self-tuning systems like the Fast EZ EFI seem to work well for most people on mild to moderate combo's. Advantage being you don't have to be a tuner to get them to run well. I much prefer laptop tunable systems, but I like to do my own tuning and like being able to swap parts and re-tune down the road. Have had great luck with the Fast systems, and the Accel, BigStuff 3 are also nice. I'm sre the new Holley stuff is very good also, just haven't tuned it yet.

If you are not going to be doing your own tuning then I'd find a local tuner you like and get a recommendation from him. You'll probably want to use a system that he's familiar with. All of them are very capable, just some have more bells and whistles, most of which you won't likely use.

You can run whatever intake/throttle body design you want with these systems, though again if you're not familiar it would be best to get a recommendation from a pro, as some setups are better for some combos than others.

You could probably find a lot about it over on chevytalk.com, there is a guy that works for Holley that's on there. Many post about it. Or call Holley.
