Regulator after both filters??

I'm putting my regulator at the tank does it have to go after both filters or is it alright to put it after the 100 m and before the 10m? It might be better for packaging but I don't want any chance of a problem.
Thanks

I've always had it before the 10 micron filter when I did the rear regulator.

you're welcome Wayne.

Yeah Wayne -- you want to be sure to filter BEFORE the pump to protect the pump and AFTER so you don't shove stuff into the injectors. :willy:

Remember that the LOWER THE NUMBER the bigger the particles so a 10 is course and the 100 is fine!

Micron filters are a measurement of how many openings per INCH there are - so there's 10 openings per inch in a 10 micron - and 100 openings per inch in 100 --- so obviously much finer (smaller) openings.

Greg, I believe it's the opposite. 100 microns is a coarser pre-pump filter. Filters down to 100 microns. Less restriction which is what you want on the pump inlet. The 10 micron filter is used on the pressure side, after the pump. It filters down to 10 microns. 10 microns is smaller than 100 microns.

YOU'RE RIGHT --- I was watching TV and did it all wrong! Thanks for catching it!

no problem Greg. Just didn't want him plumbing it backwards.

Here's a diagram of what I'm thinking of I'm going to use all black fittings. I'm going to switch the 10 m filter with the regulator like Jody said.

With these between the 100 M and pump and the Reg and the 10 M
10 orb to orb swivel to make it easier to change the filters.

From the pump to the intake on the Regulator I'm not sure. I would like to put a 10 an size U shaped stainless pipe. I'm trying to keep the price palatable. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Don't forget a fuel shut off valve for changing out that filter - or the pump....
