Need Vintage Air help
 

Heres the problem. I have a completely shaved firewall and I went to go buy a DSE firewall bracket and they asked me which model of Gen 4 Vintage Air I had. I have the 56 part number (Surefit) and not the magnum. Supposedly the DSE bracket will not fit my Surefit model.

I cannot weld a bracket onto the firewall since its painted on the other side already. What do I do now? Buy a new evaporator unit or is there some way to get this thing to work?

Hadn't had the welder out in ages so it's kind of snotted up since I just went at it but it gets the job done. It would have been fine without the round tubing section right behind the glove box but I suffer at times from overkill. It's super rigid though and I hate rattles.
