660hp 1963 427 Lightweight Ford Galaxie Race Car - On Board

I thought you guys might be interested in this feature which also includes in car race footage. She's an angry old girl with 660hp and 600ftlb making it quite a handful compared to the Camaros and Mustang racing in the same class.

I always loved those big old Galaxies... but the funny thing that I noticed is - he may have had 660hp and 600tq -- but the silly little porsche could out run him and pull him from the corners... LOL
Ya think ya brought the big dog to the fight and the little yipper is running circles around you! I hate that! :willy:

She turns to 7000rpm. The guys that built it at Vintage Racing Services over here in Aus tell me it has a very lightweight rotating assembly and clutch. Hence the reason it sounds very sharp on the throttle on the downchange.

Once he passes them, there is no way you could get back around him. That trunk is everywhere.

Here's the same guy in another lightweight 30 years ago back in 1982 at the same track. Really wags the tail big time here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23Oy-6ETTgs
