Throw out Bearing question

what would cause, what I assume is the throw out bearing, to feel like it is spinning when the tranny is in neutral. when I push in the clutch pedal in, it goes away. I have a tremec 5 speed with mechanical linkage. It has just started doing it after a put a 1/2" spacer under the trans mount to give it the correct pininon/driveshaft angle. The "feel" of the clutch pedeal is different too. When stopping quickly and pushing on the clutch pedel, it is very hard to push in. Would raising the tranny by 1/2" affect the linkage and ultimately the throw out bearings ability to engage/disengage?

Raising the driveline angle has effectively reduced the pedal free play. Adjust the pedal to have approx. 1 inch of free play. A hair less if you don't like the feel.
