C4 IRS in a 2ND GEN Camaro

As the title stats, I am looking to put an 88-96 C4 IRS rear end into a 78 Camaro and I was wondering if anyone has tried this or any ideas. I am looking to these years because of the better brake desigh over the 84-87. My rear end is 62.5" compared to the 63" of the irs, I know the first three years had a track width of 62.5" like mine but the brakes make up for the .5" difference which I will never even see a difference. Ant help will be helpful and keep in mind this is to be a mild budget build, nothing over the top. Want better handling, braking, and performance compared to what I have.

If you're on a budget then floating axles would be the way to go. You get rear camber without a massive over complication of the rear suspension, and increase in weight.
